The four elements are divided into two large groups. Masculine, extroverted, active, and explicit: Fire and Air; and Feminine, receptive, nurturing, and passive: Earth and Water. Let’s see what challenges are presented to women with an emphasis on the Earth element:
Just look at the land of external reality: immovable, sustaining, fixed, and solid. The Earth gives personalities that look for the safe and stable, that calm down by repeating what was lived in the past and yearning to reproduce what is already known in the future time. They tend to prioritize conserving – forms and links – rather than questioning them or considering changes. The continuity of things calms them down. They value inherited and tradition.
The Earth is also that element that we all lean on. Land women will be responsible, pragmatic, and efficient. They are those who naturally deal with solving and providing solutions where others are intimidated. They are perceptive, they observe reality and quickly understand what is happening.
As they tend to feel the weight of responsibilities and mandates more than any other element, their greatest learning will be to encourage themselves to recognize and enable their own perception of things, going beyond “what should be”. They must overcome the need for others to agree or give them reasons not to become rigid and tyrannical so that others follow their directions.
If the women of the land can trust in their natural quality as supporters – without imposing anything on anyone – they become referents of security in their environment. They will be recognized as exceptionally trustworthy, solid, and honest. They show great capacity and ability to generate substance – money – and provide what is necessary to others.
One of the biggest challenges will be overcoming the feeling of constant demand to discover that they really find pleasure in taking charge of things. Transcend the complaint about the excess of responsibilities to assume the pleasure of efficiency and pragmatism.
Earth women will achieve greater fulfillment by accepting their own perception and practicality because if they do not assume their productive and efficient style, they will probably suffer -in some close relationships- authoritarian and intransigent people.
Earth women will be governed by three different stereotypes depending on whether they are Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn.
Taurus women: the “estancia”
Taurus is fixed earth and has a self-centered and binding practicality. They respond to the stereotype of the “landowner” and set their environment according to their perception and their needs. They know what they want to achieve and how to put it into practice; hardly changes their desire. Taurines are above all tenacious, so they must be careful that this quality does not become stubborn. His life is a passage to learn to discriminate perseverance from obstinacy.
Taurus women must exercise trusting their own powerful solvency, as they are consistent in their emotions and whole in their actions. Personal firmness can sometimes make it difficult for them to dialogue or tolerate other people’s ideas. They feel that admitting other opinions takes them too far from their safest place: their own center. One of your biggest challenges will be learning to listen and flexing your intense desires. Power, stability, and realism will be their great talents.
Virgo women: the “watchers”
Virgo is mutable earth and has a restless and versatile practicality. They respond to the stereotype of the “critic.” Virgo observes reality and quickly notices what has been left out of context or excessively out of place. Her gift and her karma are the eternal searches for order since paradoxically the total and perfect order is never reached. They tend to question reality and always want to change it. Nothing that has been achieved seems to feel enough and they usually live in a state of permanent scolding.
Virgo women must learn to overcome their critical and labyrinthine gaze -of things and people- as it only leads to dissatisfaction. If the Virginians manage to bring their observation talents to light, they will be helpful to everyone who needs them and become efficient doers of what is necessary.
Educating yourself to lower criticism and the continuous feeling of lack transforms them into sources of compassion and service where their supportive and intelligent look at reality stands out.
Capricorn women: the “bosses”
Capricorn is cardinal earth and has an active and determined practicality. They respond to the stereotype of the “housekeeper”. Capricorns quickly perceive what needs to be done to improve things and need to put it into practice immediately. They are naturally efficient and perfectionists: not fixing what they perceive to be defective goes against their pragmatic nature.
Capricorn women must learn to develop tolerance with themselves and – “as it is inside so it is outside” – with their environment. Their lives present a great challenge: to be experts in the deep understanding of the word “authority”. Being an authority does not mean giving orders in a tyrannical way, but rather becoming agents of growth by helping others to discover their capabilities.
Capricorns have the necessary objectivity to know how far each one can. They can stimulate others to experiment for themselves. They manage to become powerful alchemists by turning the others into doers. If they learn to loosen the demand, they will facilitate action and authorship of things to help each person become an authority in their own life.
